Power (Please describe! 'Water' isn't enough. Is it ice? Rain? Snow? Get my drift? ^.^):
Tifa is a very able martial artist, but that is not her power - she possesses the ability to 'mend hearts'. Basically, when someone around her is feeling lost, confused or losing their way - Tifa's presence can soothe and heal them. After exposure to Tifa, they gradually put the pieces back together and get themselves back on track.
Why you feel you would play this character well: I have played her before at an FFVII-only game and found she was easy for me to channel and watch her interact and grow with her surroundings.
Give us your interpretation of their background:
Tifa grew up in a small town called Nibelheim and was raised by her Father, a man she adored. Tifa was the popular girl in town, had a little group of friends she went everywhere with but she was also rather fond of a little boy who was never quite included, his name was Cloud.
Tifa was taught martial arts by a great master named Zangan who came to the village just to train her as she had real raw talent and potential to be honed. She loved the training and would go on forays around Nibelheim into the wilds around the small town and sometimes even roamed up into the mountains.
One day, fed up with the other boys not taking him seriously, Cloud followed the little popular group into the mountains as Tifa had gotten it into her head that she'd find her dead mother's spirit there and there was an accident. Tifa fell and was knocked out, but the fact that Cloud had tried to help her sparked something in her heart.
Cloud then told her he wanted to go to a special school for training powers so he could join an elite military unit and she watched him leave with a heavy heart. With Cloud gone, Tifa trained ever harder and she became so good with her martial arts that she began winning titles.
Zangan then advised her Father one day that the girl would be well served going to Meillure Academy - as she had a power in addition to her fighting skills and she decided that she wanted to go. It was where Cloud was and maybe she'd get to see her friend again.
